A 50-year-old man who died at Nepalgunj Medical College on Sunday has posthumously tested positive for COVID-19.
The man from Achham had died while undergoing treatment on Sunday. "His swab was extracted before death," Deputy Director at the college's hospital Dr Dinesh Shrestha told Setopati. "That he died of COVID-19 was confirmed late Monday night."
The man, who was admitted at the hospital on August 4, was suffering from Hepatitis B and he developed pneumonia apparently after COVID-19 infection, according to Dr Shrestha.
