Record 1,454 test positive, five deaths reported Friday

Kathmandu, Sept 11

Nepal reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases on Friday recording 1,454 infections in the past 24 hours. The previous record was 1,221 cases.

Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr Jageshwore Gautam said during the daily press briefing that the total number of cases now has increased to 51,919. Similarly, 972 persons have recovered in the past 24 hours taking the total to 36,672.

The government has conducted 10,701 PCR tests in the past 24 hours taking the total number of tests to 821,186 across the country until now.

Nepal has reported five more COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours taking the total death toll to 322.
